When do I need these instructions? When you need access to Microsoft Office products on your personal computer or mobile device.
Which product(s) are included? Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Sharepoint, Teams.
Which platform(s) are included? Windows, Mac OS and iOS, and Android including Chromebooks
What’s not included? Instructions on how-to use Microsoft Office. Click here for quick tips and video training.
What are the Product Terms and Use Rights? Use of Microsoft products provided via San Jacinto College are restricted by the Microsoft Campus and School Agreement and the applicable Product Terms and Use Rights. Current enrollment as a student, or active employment by the college, is required to use the Products; these use rights expire if the College’s Campus and School Agreement expires or is terminated.
How to Access your college subscription
Open your browser on your PC, Mac, iPhone, Android smartphone, Chromebook, iPad or other tablet.
Click here to sign into your College subscription.
Enter your College email address. You will be redirected to the College’s sign in page.
Enter your College Password
Use Microsoft Office 365 Online Instead of downloading
NOTE FOR CHROMEBOOKS & ANDROID DEVICE USERS
Microsoft Office apps downloaded from Google Play do not have all features available in the online, Windows or Mac versions.
If you would like to use fully featured apps on your Chromebook or another Android device, then using an online version is a better alternative.
HOW TO ACCESS MICROSOFT OFFICE ONLINE
A successful sign in attempt will redirect you to your online Microsoft Office 365 account account made available to you with your College’s subscription.
Clicking on an icon will open the chosen application online where you will be able to create and edit your documents using your browser.
How to Download Microsoft Office
If you prefer to download Microsoft Office, then you can also use your College subscription to install the apps on your computer or mobile device.
INSTALLING ON COMPUTERS Windows PC & Mac OS
A successful sign in attempt will redirect you to your online Microsoft Office 365 account account where you can download and install the applications made available to you with your College’s subscription.
Click Install Office
Click Office 365 apps from the drop-down menu.
Select Run (in Internet Explorer) or Setup (in Chrome).
Click Yes if you see a prompt that says, “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?”.
The Office 365 Apps will now begin to install on your computer.
You will see the screen below when the installation is completed.
Click Close.
INSTALLING ON MOBILE DEVICES
The Microsoft Office mobile app combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint into a single app, and introduces new mobile-centric features to view, edit and share files without the need to switch between multiple apps. The app is available for both Apple iOS and Android.
INSTALLING ON APPLE iOS iPhones & iPads
Tap Download on the App Store to open your app store.
Tap GET to install on your device.
Tap the app icon on your device when the Microsoft Office app install is completed.
If prompted, sign in with your College email account and Password.
INSTALLING ON ANDROID Smartphones, Tablets and CHROMEBOOKS
Click or Tap Play Store
Search for Microsoft Office
Click or Tap Install
Click or Tap the app icon(s) on your device when the Microsoft Office app install is completed.
If prompted, sign in with your College email account and Password.

Are the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys off? To avoid typing an incorrect Username or Password, make sure that the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys are off. Then retype your Username and Password.
