Steps to receiving your loaner laptop

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Outlined below are the steps you need to take to qualify & receive assistance from our Student Loaner Laptop Assistance Program.


STEP 1

Complete a Student Technology Request Form


Click this button to request help if you are a registered student & you need a laptop or other technology for your courses.


STEP 2

Access your Student Email & Respond to our confirmation email

All communication for the loaner program will be sent to your student email. YOU MUST RESPOND OR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST.

You will receive an email if you are identified as a student needing a computer. The email will be sent as follows:

  • From: Carolina.Aguilar@sjcd.edu

  • Subject: San Jacinto College - Student Technology Assistance Program

The email includes confirmation of your submitted Student Technology Request Form. You will also be asked to confirm your delivery address & contact phone number. You must respond to this email before we can proceed with assigning a loaner laptop.

You will receive a one-time automated reminder phone call if you do not respond within 48 hours of receiving the email. You will be removed from our list if you do not respond after this one-time reminder.


STEP 3

Sign the contract

YOU MUST SIGN THE CONTRACT OR YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED

You will receive a digital contract by email when we receive your completed confirmation form. This is a digital agreement that can be reviewed & signed on a mobile device.

Please read this contract before you sign. The contract includes your:

  • G# Number

  • Name

  • Laptop Identification & any Peripherals

  • Return Date

  • Terms & Conditions

You must sign this contract within two (2) days of receipt or your order will be canceled.


Step 4

Receive your laptop

YOU MUST RESPOND TO THE SCHEDULING EMAIL & BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE YOUR LAPTOP OR YOUR ORDER & CONTRACT WILL BE CANCELLED.

You will receive a scheduling email to select a date and time for delivery to your address (the address you provided on the request form). The address you submitted on the request form and the loan agreement will be used as the delivery address.

  • You will receive one (1) follow-up email if you do not respond to the scheduling email.

You must be present & able to show a photo ID to the courier to accept the laptop.

  • We will not leave the laptop on the front porch or in a mailbox.

  • We will make two (2) attempts to deliver your laptop.

Your laptop order & contract will be canceled if:

  • You do not respond to our follow-up email.

  • You are not present to receive your laptop after the second (2nd) attempt to deliver your laptop.


STEP 5

Activate your laptop

After you receive your laptop, login & begin to activate the installed software. Click this button for information on How to Login to Your Loaner Laptop.
